Call the Midwife Season 12 Episode 5 Preview

Nancy is in charge of taking care of Jill Mellor and her new baby, Mylene. Jill had Mylene with a young man from the West Indies, Spencer Wray, even though they weren’t married. Jill and Spencer live with his mother, Florence, who is very kind. People started to worry about him not long after Spencer was born because he was acting strangely. Nancy is worried, so she calls Dr. Turner. Dr. Turner tells Nancy that Spencer needs an urgent psychiatric evaluation, but as Spencer’s condition gets worse, things take a very surprising and shocking turn.

Dr. Turner and Sister Veronica set up a men’s health talk at the doctor’s office to talk about male birth control and the vasectomy, which is a new procedure. Dr. Turner and Nurse Crane also care for Annette Berkley, who has rheumatic heart disease and got pregnant again against doctors’ advice.

When Matthew’s dad, Sir Brigham, comes to visit Poplar, he and his son don’t get along very well. Matthew’s feelings about Poplar are very different from those of his father, since he has grown to like the place and its people over the past few years. Sir Brigham wants to sell up, but Matthew wants to put more money into the borough. Relationships are at an all-time low, so Trixie has to tell Matthew some sad news.
