Brahmastra, a superhero film starring Ranbir Kapoor as the main lead, has been hailed as the most anticipated Bollywood film to date. Brahmastra is expected to be turned into a franchise, with the first installment set to be released in September of 2022 and the remaining two installments to follow.
In the nearly three and a half years since Ranbir Kapoor last appeared on the big screen, his previous film Sanju, a biography of the well-known Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, was a runaway success at the box office, earning him an Academy Award nomination. The actor is back with another great notion that is sure to bring down the house at the box office. Although filming began as early as 2018, it was eventually put on hold because of coronavirus limitations.
Cast of Brahmastra
Stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. It is a unique combination of immense spectacle, imaginative storytelling, and a legendary ensemble cast that makes up the film trilogy.
• The film stars a slew of prominent personalities from Bollywood and Telugu cinema, and it is directed by Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the protagonist Shiva Tripathi.
• Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Big-B, will play the part of Arvind Chaturvedi’s professor in the film.
• Alia Bhatt, who appeared in the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulani, will portray Ranbir’s counterpart, Isha Mishra, who would be the major lead actress in the film.
• Damyanti Basu is played by Mouni Roy, who is most known for her role as Nagin in the television series. She earlier says in an interview that she is the lone antagonist in the film.
• An archaeologist named Ajay Vashisht is played by the well-known south Indian actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, who is also known all over the world in Bollywood.
• As Anita Saxena, veteran actress Dimply Kapadia will be seen on the big screen.
Brahmastra OTT Release Date
The film’s producers just stated that it would be released in theatres on September 9, 2022, in five Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, as well as dubbed versions of these languages. A 3D and IMAX version of the film is also available for viewing.
Tumbadd (2018) and Talvar (2015) are two well-known films. Pankaj Kumar was in charge of the cinematography, and A. Sreekar Prasad, Akiv Ali, and Manik Dawar were in charge of the editing. Pritam composed the music for the film, which was directed by A. Sreekar Prasad.
Creators of the Brahmastra
Ayan Mukerji, who previously helmed Ranbir’s two popular films, Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani movie (2013), is the director of Brahmastra. Ayan also wrote the story and co-authored the script with Hussain Dalal for the film. The film is produced by Dharma Productions in partnership with Fox Star Studios and is bankrolled by Karan Johar, a well-known Bollywood filmmaker, together with Ranbir, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Namit Malhotra under the name of Dharma Productions.
Brahmastra Budget
Brahmastra is claimed to have been shot on a budget of Rs 300 crore, while Uday Shankar, Chairman of Star and Disney India, stated in an interview in November that the film was done on a budget that was far higher than Rs 300 crore. Distribution of the picture will be handled by Fox Star Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, respectively.
Brahmastra Movie Story
Brahmastra, which takes place in contemporary India yet is steeped in mythology, transports us to a beautiful new universe that is beyond our comprehension. Shiva, a hesitant hero who goes on an unexpected journey of self-discovery and love, which ultimately leads him to rise up against the evil powers that threaten our very existence, is the protagonist of this narrative.
