Blood And Cheese House of the Dragon

Blood And Cheese House of the Dragon: House of the Dragon season 1 is almost over. The death of King Viserys has created a power vacuum… … if we know anything about Westeros, it’s that the country’s nobles will race to fill such a vacuum through blood and backstabbing, and any other means necessary.

A few significant events from George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire & Blood could perhaps be seen in the upcoming weeks as we race toward the season’s climax.

One scene, in particular, is among the most tragic in the entire Dance of the Dragons narrative.

It’s one of the turning points of this bloody civil war, and it’s known as Blood and Cheese.

Recently we saw episode 9 of House of the Dragon, House of the Dragon Episode 9 depicts the poisonous seeping tension in the realms, combined with the morbidly stunning OST; you know that nothing good will happen whenever music of such frightening quality is playing.

The episode was compelling and riveting, and it remains to be seen who lives or dies in the series finale, which is appropriately packed with gloom and shadows (there is virtually no type of bright light).

Blood And Cheese House of the Dragon

There’s still a chance that Blood and Cheese won’t happen until the second season of House of the Dragon, but there’s been enough hints that it could happen in the season 1 finale.

The plot centers on a meeting at Storm’s End as the greens and the blacks attempt to solidify power in the wake of King Viserys’s death.

To win Lord Borros Baratheon’s favor, the greens sent Aemond One-Eye to wed one of his daughters, while the blacks dispatched Lucerys Velaryon with a letter from Queen Rhaenyra demanding his fealty.

Borros takes the side of the greens, and Lucerys goes home empty-handed to his mom.

However, by then, Aemond and Lucerys’ relationship had soured beyond repair due to their childhood eye-slashing episode.

Following Lucerys into the storm, Aemond rides his dragon Vhagar after her. Once the two dragons combine forces, Luke, depending on the much smaller Arrax, will have no hope of survival.

His killing by Aemond marks the first time a Targaryen and his dragon have clashed during the Dance.

Fans of the books watching the program have speculated for a long time that the battle for Storm’s Conclusion would occur near the end of season 1, and the stars appear to align in this regard.

Daemon Targaryen assures Rhaenyra that vengeance will be taken for the death of Lucerys. Mysaria, his former flame and a person with King’s Landing ties are the one he seeks out to.

She hires two mercenaries at Daemon’s request to complete a dreary mission. One of them is a rat catcher who is familiar with all the hidden passages of the Red Keep, while the other is a former City Watch officer fired for violent tendencies. Blood and Cheese are their respective nicknames.

Storm’s End and the assassination plan involving Blood and Cheese might seem like an odd pairing for a single episode, but it might actually work out despite appearances.

The dragon battle at Storm’s End is immediately followed by Blood and Cheese, which takes place on the next page of Fire & Blood.

A direct reaction, a shot fired by either side, proves that hostilities have commenced.

It sounds like a fantastic location to end season 2, with the Dance entering a new phase of open conflict.

After Lucerys’s death, things progress rapidly. Daemon, who has already conquered Harrenhal to secure a foothold on mainland Westeros for the blacks, writes to Rhaenyra as she learns of her son’s murder.

Daemon tells her he’ll give her a son in exchange for one of his, and then he makes his move. Just from reading the script, it’s easy to picture the actual hiring of the assassins and their trek into the castle being shown as a montage, much like the surprising conclusion with Laenor Velaryon in Episode 7.

There’s potential for a more extended scene to be edited once the real action begins with Alicent’s capture, but this moment shouldn’t take too much screen time.

The first season of House of the Dragon did an excellent job setting up Blood and Cheese events. In Episode 8, Helaena lets one of her prophetic mutterings slip during the family dinner: “Beware the beast beneath the boards.”

Rats scurry through the palace’s cracks and crevices. Thus it’s conceivable she’s referring to Blood and Cheese, who sneak into the fortress through similar backdoors.
