Big Brother Season 24 Release Date (CBS): This will be the twenty-fourth season of Big Brother, which airs on American television. The first episode of the next season will air on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on July 6, 2022.

To win the $750,000 final prize, the surviving contestants (referred to as “HouseGuests”) must live in a house together for the duration of the show without being able to communicate with anybody outside the home. Host Julie Chen Moonves has agreed to return.

Big Brother Season 24 Plot

With cameras and microphones capturing their every move around the clock, Big Brother follows a group of participants, called HouseGuests, who live in a custom-built house equipped with cameras and microphones.

The Big Brother house is a fortress for the HouseGuests, who have no way to communicate with the outside world.

The Diary Room is a quiet area in the house where guests can write down their thoughts and feelings about their daily life.

To gain power and safety within the house, the HouseGuests compete in several weekly challenges. The Head of Household (abbreviated as “HOH”) competition is held each week at the beginning of the HouseGuests’ stay.

He or she has immunity from eviction and can nominate two other HouseGuests for removal.

This is followed by the Power of Veto competition, in which six HouseGuests are randomly chosen to compete. The reigning HoH and nominees have assured spots of playing, and any remaining places are awarded to additional HouseGuests chosen at random.

When a nominated HouseGuest wins the POV competition, the winner gets to choose whether or not to rescind their nomination. The HoH must immediately designate another HouseGuest for eviction if the Veto winner exercises this ability. The People’s Choice Vote winner is also exempt from having their name used as a replacement nominee.

Voting is not permitted for the Head of Household or nominees. To get rid of one of the nominees, all HouseGuests must vote for him or her on eviction night. In the Diary Room, hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, Julie Chen Moonves conducts this obligatory vote.

When there is a tie in front of all Houseguests, the Head of Household will cast his or her vote. The nominee receiving the highest votes gets expelled from the competition.

The Jury, comprised of the nine remaining HouseGuests who were evicted at the end of the season, is isolated in a different home and is ultimately responsible for selecting the season’s winner.

Except for events and ceremonies in which all of the surviving HouseGuests participate, the Jury is prohibited from watching the show in its entirety on TV. Diary Room interviews are not revealed, nor is any footage that would reveal nomination strategy or details.

Viewers have the option of awarding an additional $75,000 prize. This award is open to all evicted HouseGuests, save those who voluntarily leave or are forcibly removed for rule infractions and are therefore ineligible.

CBS has confirmed that the debut of Big Brother 24 will take place on Wednesday, July 6, at 8 o’clock Eastern Time (ET). After the premiere, which will run for 90 minutes, the newest reality show on the network will begin, The Challenge: USA.
