The plot begins with a man named Sundara Prasad, who comes from a traditional Hindu Brahmin family. He meets and falls in love with a girl named Leela Thomas, whose family is Christian. The hero has an idea, even though he is aware that the family will be upset if they accept the relationship between them. But as a result of the entire process, both end up living a lie-filled existence and getting into problems.

The fundamental question the film seeks to answer, as well as the challenges its protagonists must surmount, is “what are the lies?”
