At first, it was believed that the documentary series that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recorded as part of their collaboration agreement with Netflix was going to be delayed due to the controversy that the last season of the series ‘The Crown’ has caused by removing some of the worst scandals of the British monarchy, but now it seems that there is already a release date.
Harry And Meghan Documentary Netflix Release Date
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will soon appear on Netflix. In the early hours of this Thursday, December 1, the streaming platform made the official announcement about the documentary series of the Dukes of Sussex, entitled Harry & Meghan.
No release date has been announced yet, but the “Harry & Meghan” docuseries is coming “soon,” Netflix said.
Already with an agreed release date, the new Netflix production will explore the current life of the couple and the conflicts that broke out in the royal family . “I had to do everything to protect my family,” Prince Harry says at one point.
In the six-part docuseries from the director and two-time Oscar nominee Liz Garbus, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tell their side of their love story, from their clandestine courtship to becoming one of the world’s most famous couples and their controversial break with the British Royal House.
In the teaser, Harry and Meghan appear to launch new attacks on the royal family. The images include intimate and previously unpublished photos of their wedding; the Duchess of Sussex is seen crying, dancing with Harry and his brothers-in-law, William and Kate Middleton, stone-faced.
It is rumoured that Harry and Meghan would have received 100 million dollars for this docuseries and other projects for Netflix. The couple announced their deal with the platform just six months after settling in California in March 2020 and said they wanted to provide “hope and inspiration” by partnering with the streaming giant.
The trailer comes at an awkward time for the new Prince and Princess of Wales, whose US tour was overshadowed by the resignation of Lady Susan Hussey (Prince William’s godmother) as Buckingham’s assistant over her racist comments at an event hosted by the Queen. Consort Camilla.
