Dead By Daylight Update 6.2.1: Even while the most recent version for Dead By Daylight (DBD 6.2.1) does not include any brand-new content in the form of features or characters, it does have several critical bug fixes.

Following the release of yet another significant content patch for the game the previous month, players have been hard at work testing the Mastermind’s abilities.

And just as with every other major launch, there will inevitably be a few issues that find their way into the fold and need to be resolved.

6 September Dead By Daylight Update 6.2.1

It was confirmed earlier this week by the game’s developers, Behaviour Interactive, that the Dead By Daylight Update 6.2.1 will only include bugfixes and will not bring any new content to the game.

The most recent update to the game will not fundamentally alter how you play; nevertheless, it will address several of the game’s more vexing issues.

This concerns issues that are tied to the newly introduced character of Albert Wesker and how certain of his talents work.

The Mastermind

  • Increased the extent of the Survivor detecting area for use with Virulent Bound to trigger grabs.
  • The damage dealt with Virulent Bound now factors into the Chaser emblem total.

  • The issue that created a tiny camera offset in-game and gave some players motion nausea has been fixed.
  • Resolved an issue that caused Carlos, a survivor Mori’d go by several killers, to have a deformed face.
  • We fixed an issue where the Mastermind might grasp survivors through fragile walls when using Virulent Bound.
  • A problem where the Mastermind’s Virulent Bound might not be able to capture survivors near some staircases has been fixed.
  • Corrected a problem wherein players may have been clipped inside assets when hit by the Mastermind’s Virulent Bound.
  • Completely infected survivors no longer trigger the “death cry” sound effect when another character is slammed against them by the Mastermind’s Virulent Bound.
  • We managed to fix an issue where completely infected survivors would trigger the hurt grunt SFX whenever the Mastermind’s tentacle struck them.
  • We fixed an issue that could have shown the Trigger Bound prompt when using Virulent Bound.
  • Fixed an issue where the Mastermind would be stunned by Virulent Bound, but the pulse VFX would remain until the end of the trial.
  • Correction made so that survivors are properly thrown off when the Virulent Bound’s endpoint is near a cliff.
  • The bug where the Mastermind’s Virulent Bound could not catch survivors who were opening a chest has been fixed.
  • An issue where utilizing Virulent Bound to rush at the Mastermind would force him to push back escaping survivors into the locker has been fixed.
  • We fixed an issue where the Mastermind might prevent the survivor from unhooking by charging at them with Virulent Bound.
  • Corrected an issue where the Mastermind’s Virulent Bound didn’t always activate Decisive Strike.
  • When the Mastermind breaks a breachable wall with Virulent Bound, the Alert perk will now activate as intended.
  • The icon disappeared when retrieving a First Aid Spray from a supply container.
  • The issue where the Hyperfocus perk’s benefits did not apply to healing actions has been fixed.
  • A bug where the generator’s aura would stay on even if the survivor left the trial after setting up a trap with the Wiretap perk has been fixed.
  • Fixed a problem that could have prevented survivors from unhooking when the Doctor’s Shock Therapy halted their unhooking.
  • An issue where Player Statuses on the HUD would remain in their brighter condition has been resolved.
  • Fixed an issue wherein the Lobby’s name tags for players were occasionally only partially trimmed.
  • The issue where non-English versions of the game would show the Prove Thyself perk description when prompted to use the assault Pig’s Ambush Dash has been fixed.
