PrettyLittleThing MarketPlace App: PrettyLittleThing, or PLT, is a new app released by PrettyLittleThing, Ltd., a fast fashion and lifestyle wear retailer based in the United Kingdom.
The selling of previously owned or pre-owned items is the primary focus of this brand-new retail establishment.
The PrettyLittleThing MarketPlace, owned by the Boohoo Group and just debuted in the UK, will soon be available in the United States.
The newest reselling platform in the works is an app where users can sell their PLT things and pretty much anything pre-loved.
The retailer thinks it is a brilliant move that, thanks to their out-of-the-box thinking, may potentially cause a stir in the fashion industry.
3 Things To Know About PrettyLittleThing MarketPlace App
PLT MarketPlace App is 3Rs-focused.
The MarketPlace results from PLT’s attempts to extend the lives of “pieces from the best and most popular brands,” in addition to the company’s clothing.
PrettyLittleThing also aims to reduce waste and encourage its consumers to focus on “The 3 R’s,” which are reselling, reusing, and wearing their old clothes.
PLT also believes that the developed marketplace software will make fashion more approachable and open to various styles.
During an interview earlier this year in February, Molly-Mae Hague, the creative director of PLT, stated that MarketPlace will encourage sustainability, assist its youthful consumer in rethinking disposable fashion, and provide them the opportunity to make a little bit of additional income.
By streamlining the resale process and making it easier for users to post their old PLT clothes directly onto the selling site, the app aims to increase the number of users who participate in the “PLTloved movement” while also simplifying the procedure.
For The First Three Months, PLT Has 0% Selling Fees
Also, for the first three months of using PrettyLittleThing as a seller, you won’t have to pay any fees. Listings are available for men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and even household goods, giving resellers a wide range of products to choose from.
Hague also said in her statement that she plans to be one of the marketplace’s earliest buyers and sellers, with all of her “top seller” proceeds going to charity. Her subsequent comments were as follows.
I have hundreds of PLT pieces in my wardrobe and you physically can’t wear them all and I think it is great to encourage other people to buy this off me, for them to re-wear it
PLT MarketPlace Is Launching In Two Parts
There will be two distinct opening periods for MarketPlace. During Phase 1, logged-in users can sync their PayPal and PLT inventory, create wish lists, and verify their accounts.
Phase 2 will include a review feature, a monthly membership, and a PLT trade credit payment option.
This software is now debuting in the United Kingdom, but before the end of the year, it will also be offered in the United States.
PLT’s new venture attempts to address the fact that the fast fashion industry is still expanding rapidly.
The marketplace was developed in-house by the company to cater to the wishes of its customers for a simple interface that would allow them to post listings swiftly.
More than 200 people worked for the company before the launch, constantly putting the product through internal tests and talking about their own experiences with the buying and selling features.
