Your Honor Season 2: Even though Bryan Cranston’s performance on Breaking Bad is widely regarded as one of the greatest in television history, the actor recently scored another juicy role in the Showtime crime drama Your Honor. Although the first season premiered in 2020, the conclusion of Cranston’s Michael Desiato story won’t come until early 2023.

The story follows Judge Michael Desiato, whose morals are tested when his son gets into a hit-and-run with members of a criminal family.

Your Honor Season 2 Release Date

The second season of Your Honor starts on Showtime on January 15. If you subscribe to the Showtime app, you can watch the season 2 premiere a few days early, on Friday, January 13. UK Paramount Plus subscribers should be able to get it simultaneously.

Your Honor Season 2 Preview

Spoiler alert: If you haven’t seen season 1 of Your Honor, it’s essential to know where the story is going in season 2 to understand what’s happening.

In the first season, Desiato tries to keep his son Adam safe from the Baxters, a mob family, after he kills their son in a hit-and-run accident. When the Baxters find out that Adam is involved, they use that against Desiato to get her to do what they want. As the story goes on, more lies and secrets are revealed, and Desiato’s life falls apart around him. Adam dies, and Desiator loses his job as a judge.

But season 2 of Your Honor will give Desiato a chance to get even.

Bryan Cranston is back as Michael Desiato, a former judge who deals with the wreckage of his old life. He was kicked out of the bar, shamed, and almost ruined. Nothing could bring him back from the edge until a federal agent forced him to join a plan to eliminate the Baxter family. Even though revenge can’t get back everything he’s lost, redemption gives him a ray of hope. He has a chance to strike a blow against the empire of corruption and revenge that runs New Orleans, but will it be enough to put his ghosts to rest?

In an interview for the podcast Armchair Expert, Cranston said that season 2 of Your Honor would be the last one.

Michael Desiato is hopeless because he is sad. Eugene gets help from people you might not expect. Jimmy Baxter is trying to grow his criminal empire, and Gina Baxter is finding ways to deal with her anger. Michael’s life is turned upside down when an Assistant U.S. Attorney appears.
