You Season 4 Release Date, Plot, Cast

You Season 4: What kills people under different names, has two eyes, and justifies his actions in his mind? You guessed it, it’s Joe Goldberg, and in a brand-new season of You, he’s gone overseas to keep doing what he loves.

You Season 4 Preview

You is a psychological thriller show based on the books by Caroline Kepnes. It shows the life of Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley). In the first season, Joe is a bookstore manager in New York. He meets aspiring writer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and falls in Love with her. Joe is so obsessed with Beck that he follows her around and kills people who get in the way of them getting together.

In Season 2, Joe runs to Los Angeles to escape his crimes. There, he changes his name to Will Bettelheim. There, he meets a chef named Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti). To make his relationship with her work, he goes back to his old ways of obsession and murder. But Joe soon finds out that Love has a wrong side. By the third season, Joe and Love are married and have moved to the suburb of Madre Linda in California to raise their son Henry and escape the crimes they committed in the second season. But when Joe returns to his old ways and starts to be obsessed with his next-door neighbour Natalie and the local librarian Marienne, Love does anything to protect her perfect family.

You were first talked about in February 2015, when it came out that Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble were making a show based on Caroline Kepnes’ book. At first, Berlanti and Gamble tried to sell the show to Showtime and Netflix, but they turned them down. In January 2017, it was announced that Lifetime had bought the show, and in April 2017, a straight-to-series order for ten episodes was given. Lifetime renewed the show for a second season in July 2018, a few months before the first episode aired.

But in December 2018, it was announced that Lifetime would not renew the show and that Netflix would pick it up before the second season. Season 2 of You came out on Netflix and was well received there. It was later said that You was one of Netflix’s most-watched shows in 2019. Netflix picked up the show for a third season in January 2020. The new season will start on October 15, 2021. Before the start of the show’s third season, Netflix said that the show would be back for a fourth season. The fourth You season was filmed in London from March 21, 2022, to August 27, 2022.

Warner Horizon Television makes you, now Warner Bros. Television, and Berlanti Productions, Alloy Entertainment, and A+E Studios. The show has been nominated for several awards, including the Saturn Award for Best Streaming Horror and Thriller Series, the MTV Movie & TV Awards for Best Villain, and more. Now that the fourth season is almost here, here’s everything you need to know, from the plot to the release date, about You Season 4.

Even though the official synopsis for Season 4 of You hasn’t been released yet, we can tell from the teaser that Joe is now in London under a new name. He now calls himself Professor Jonathan Moore and is trying to fit in with the academic world, but if you know Joe, you know it won’t be easy.
