Why Is Dr. Scott Leaving Chicago Med? Let’s face it. Since One Chicago ended its run of seasons earlier this year, Wednesdays haven’t been the same.

The time of waiting is now over. Wednesday nights in Chicago are back, and they’re better than ever.

The Chicago medical, police, and fire departments have all returned to NBC and Peacock, with Med providing a fascinating opening for viewers.

Its third installment, Chicago Med, was developed by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead and premiered in 2015; the eighth season is scheduled to premiere on September 21, 2022.

Although it’s lovely to see familiar faces at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, not everything is good news. Is Dr. Scott leaving Chicago Med?

According to Variety, Guy Lockard will no longer appear as Dr. Dylan Scott at Chicago Med.

Season 8’s debut reveals that he has decided to leave the hospital after Jo’s (Riley Voelkel) death.

A romance he had with the undercover cop from Season 7 ended tragically when she passed away while being treated at the hospital. After taking this devastating hit, he has resolved to start over elsewhere.

He will not return next season, as revealed by co-showrunners Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov.
