Dak Prescott’s hand injury from the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers will keep him out for a while.
Why Is Dak Prescott Not Playing?
Dak Prescott will carry a significant amount of the weight of the Cowboys’ expectations for their 2022 season on his shoulders. However, awful news about the quarterback was reported days before the Dallas club’s start.
Prescott reportedly participated in limited drills during Cowboys practice due to pain in his right ankle, as ESPN’s Todd Archer reported.
It’s worth noting that Prescott broke his ankle during Week 5 of the 2020 season. He could not play in the final 11 games of the season due to his injury.
After injuring his ankle earlier in the week, Prescott was listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 1 showdown. His late-game departure occurred precisely one year after his notable return from ankle and shoulder ailments ahead of the 2021 season.
