Who Is Reyn Doi? With the new series That ’90s Show, Netflix is giving fans of That ’70s Show a big dose of nostalgia. The show starts on January 19 and takes place 20 years after the original teen sitcom ended. 

It is about Donna and Eric’s daughter Leia, who spends the summer of 1995 at her grandparents’ Point Place home with Kitty and Red. Leia has parties in the basement with new friends like Ozzie, just like her parents did many years ago. Ozzie is played by Reyn Doi, a 13-year-old who is the show’s breakout star.

Actor and dancer Reyn Doi is of Japanese and American descent. He was raised in Hawaii. For those who watch That ’90s Show on Netflix, he plays the role of Ozzie.

Reyn plays Ozzie in That ’90s Show

Ozzie is “an smart and inquisitive teen,” according to Netflix. The broadcaster has also said explicitly that Ozzie is gay. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife, Reyn dished his time spent on set with series regulars, Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith.

While Reyn’s ancestors are Japanese, he spent his formative years on the Hawaiian islands. To pursue acting, he uprooted to the City of Angels. In a 2021 interview with Photobook Magazine, Reyn discussed his longing for Hawaii.

In an interview for a Photobook, Reyn recalled how he first began his “acting career” at nine when he attended a workshop in Los Angeles. After his first audition, a commercial casting director immediately cast him.

Reyn’s breakthrough role came opposite Kristen Wiig in the 2021 comedic film Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar. In an interview with MidWeek, he raved about it.

Reyn’s enthusiasm for dance rivals that for acting. His ability to dance got him his first commercial role.
