Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise, Princess Royal, formerly known as Princess Anne (born August 15, 1950 in London, England), is a member of the British royal family and the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh.
Who Is Princess Anne Married To Now?
Princess Anne married to Timothy Laurence in 1992 and their marriage has been going strong.
However, this one had a relatively eventful beginning compared to other royal couples’ love stories.
When they first met, Anne was still married to Captain Mark Phillips, whom she had married in November 1973. They had been married for almost four years.
It was rumored that both Phillips and Anne, who had a daughter named Zara and a son named Peter, had extramarital affairs over their marriage.
Love letters were taken from Princess Royal in 1989, which led to the revelation of Anne’s affair with Laurence, who worked as an equerry for her mother, Queen Elizabeth. Shortly after this revelation, Anne’s marriage was publicly terminated.
Anne filed for divorce from Phillips in April 1992; she and Laurence were wed in December that year. Since then, the couple has been raising their children together.
