Who Is Kingpin In Hawkeye

The fifth and penultimate episode of the Hawkeye series is a box full of surprises and has finally been opened. If you don’t want to ruin a great show, you’d better run away from here. It stinks of evil.

Hawkeye Episode 5 titled “Ronin” shows that there have been more Marvel characters who were harmed by Blip after Avengers: Infinity War and that the Marvel universe of series and movies has begun to expand in a genuinely exciting way. However, the penultimate chapter of the series not only revealed the return of THAT character that had been so much rumored from the beginning but also contains a number of very promising Easter eggs.

Yelena was one of Thanos’ victims when he wiped out half the living things in the universe with a simple click, and Hawkeye shows the exact moment when Natasha’s sister returns five years after disappearing. Yelena is in New York and is still a Black Widow who now works under the orders of a powerful mob criminal; However, he had never been to the Big Apple and reveals to Kate all those places she wishes she could see, including the “new and improved Statue of Liberty.”

The first scene revealed from NWH showed a connection to Hawkeye, and this has been a further confirmation that both stories happen at practically the same time. The Statue of Liberty has been modified for NWH and Hawkeye as a kind of tribute to Captain America.

Who Is Kingpin In Hawkeye?

With the announced return of Cox as the iconic ‘Defender Devil’, it was a matter of time before the presence of his iconic antagonist was confirmed in a ‘The House of Ideas’ project. Thus, Hawkeye 1×05 was the perfect point for his arrival.

The arrival of Wilson Grant Fisk was in a very concrete way. In one scene we see Kate Bishop very concerned, as the action sequences let us know that Yelena Belova was sent to kill Clint Barton, whom they blamed for the death of Black Widow.

It is in this context that, sitting next to the avenger, the young archer receives a revealing text message from Natasha Romanoff’s sister, who reveals Eleanor Bishop as the person in charge of the murderous mission. The message was also accompanied by an image, which distinguishes both Kate’s mother and a subject in a white suit.

The Return Of Vincent D'Onofrio As Kingpin In 'Hawkeye'

Confused, the girl asks Barton if he knows who the man is. He clearly knows the answer: he’s the Kingpin, the mastermind behind the powerful and dangerous criminal organization, and the main cause of Hawkeye’s headaches.

Who Is Behind Yelena Belova?

During the chapter, called Ronin, Kate tries to convince Yelena that Clint is not responsible for Natasha’s death after the new Black Widow arrives at her “secret hideout” (aka her apartment) to have a conversation about her plans.

That’s where Yelena (Florence Pugh) makes it clear that she doesn’t want to kill her (are we going to see them together as part of the Young Avengers ?), What she wants is to kill Clint, but not just for revenge (and she doesn’t understand why the world forgave him because of his past), but because someone hired her to do it. Yelena is convinced that Clint is not a hero, that he has too many skeletons in the closet, and that he is directly responsible for the death of his sister and does not need a contract to want to tie him up, but he does.

While this is happening, Jack is arrested after Eleanor investigates him and calls the police, but it seems that someone is framing him for something and that someone, who could very well be Eleanor, is hiding something very important.

Valentina put Yelena in Clint’s path, but she wasn’t the one who hired her to kill him. Clues point to the Kingpin, who has enough reason to want to wipe Clint (who was forced to be Ronin again to protect his family) from the map. Yelena Belova herself is the one who confirms to Kate, with a photo, that Eleanor hired her, and shows her a picture where she and the Kingpin appear together.

If Yelena is working for the Kingpin, as a hitman, then we could definitely see her turn into something of a villain, at least for now. We don’t know what Eleanor’s role is in all of this or what the Kingpin wants, but it’s not a good thing.

What is also not clear is how the Kingpin found Yelena, he did not know anything about Natasha’s sister or her mission of revenge, so it is possible that he also has some connection with Valentina that has not been revealed. On the other hand, we know that Kingpin has connections with Daredevil and Spider-Man, so it is one more way to unite stories and open the possibilities of having more characters.

The Return Of Vincent D’Onofrio As Kingpin In ‘Hawkeye’?

The Return Of Vincent D'Onofrio As Kingpin In 'Hawkeye'

The most mentioned theory is the appearance of Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin. The actor played Wilson Fisk in Daredevil on the Netflix series. Although those productions seem to have ceased to be canon, Kevin Feige has confirmed the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That is why the return of D’Onofrio in Hawkeye is quite possible and a big surprise for millions of fans who will take to social networks to comment on this revelation. The episode will be directed by Amber Templemore-Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, better known as Bert and Bertie, who already directed the third episode, which was brilliant.
