Where Was ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ Filmed? ‘The Last Thing He Told Me,’ co-created by Laura Dave and Josh Singer, is a thrilling Apple TV+ series based on Dave’s 2021 novel of the same name. The show follows Hannah, a woman living a happy life with her husband Owen and his 16-year-old daughter Bailey, until Owen mysteriously disappears, leaving a note instructing her to protect Bailey. The series boasts a stellar cast, including Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aisha Tyler, and Augusto Aguilera.

The production of ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ took place in Texas and California, specifically in Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sausalito. The series was filmed between May and September 2022.

Austin, Texas: A Key Filming Site 

Many crucial scenes of the series were shot in Austin, the capital city of Texas. The Austin American Statesman building at 8000 Metropolis Drive Building A served as Owen’s workplace, while Bailey’s high school scenes were possibly filmed around The University of Texas in Austin. Other locations in the city include Lady Bird Lake, Butterfly Bridge on Shoal Creek Boulevard, and East 5th Street.

Los Angeles, California: A Staple in the Entertainment Industry 

The cast and crew of ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ were also spotted filming key portions of the series in and around Los Angeles. The city’s ties to the entertainment industry and its diverse landscape make it a suitable production location for various projects, including this thrilling series.

Other Californian Locations 

In addition to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sausalito also served as filming locations for the series. Oracle Park at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco was used for several scenes, while the city of Sausalito in Marin County featured in multiple sequences throughout the show.

Exploring the Show’s Setting 

‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ starts in Sausalito, California, before moving to Austin, Texas, where most of the story takes place. The series filmed in both locations to bring the story to life authentically. Fans can watch new episodes weekly on Apple TV+ until the finale on May 19, 2023, for a total of seven episodes.
