The team behind The Stranger and Safe are reuniting for their fourth Harlan Coben Netflix adaptation titled Stay Close, an adaptation of Coben’s number-one New York Times best-selling novel of the same name.
Author Harlan Coben is no stranger to Netflix viewers, as in recent years, they have had the opportunity to see adaptations of his work such as The Stranger, Safe, and The Five.
Longtime collaborators Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee are serving as executive producers of the new drama. Stay close, alongside creator Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, who is the lead writer again.
We also meet the main director of Stay Close: Daniel O’Hara. O’Hara previously worked on many productions, including Doctor Who, Victoria, Brassic, and Coben’s The Stranger and Safe. He will also serve as executive producer on the new limited series.
Stay Close is the latest Netflix project for Harlan Coben, as part of his current five-year deal with the streamer to develop 14 of his titles in film and television dramas.

The three main protagonists of Netflix Stay Close are Cush Jumbo ( The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Deadwater Fell ), James Nesbitt ( Bloody Sunday, The Missing ), and Richard Armitage ( The Stranger, The Hobbit, Hannibal ). They will play Megan, Broome, and Ray respectively. Netflix first announced that they would be joining the cast on October 28, 2020.
The main trio will be joined by a diverse set of talented actors including Eddie Izzard ( Hannibal ), Sarah Parish ( Bancroft ), Daniel Francis ( Little Ax ), Bethany Antonia ( Get Even ), Rachel Andrews ( Butcher ), Poppy Gilbert ( The Horse pale ) and Hyoie O’Grady ( May Day ).
