What Episode Does Carl Die? Much like the zombies it portrays, The Walking Dead has been revived for numerous seasons.

The series, developed by Frank Darabont and based on the same-named comic novels, debuted on AMC in 2010 and has since won multiple honors for its exceptional performance. There may not have been anything since that has come close to revitalizing the zombie subgenre.

The second part of Season 11 premiered in February 2022 to critical acclaim.

On the other hand, not everyone is up-to-date on the big project. As a result, thoughts have turned to an earlier year. Some viewers are more interested in a specific personality. As a result, viewers of “The Walking Dead” may wonder if Carl actually meets his end.

What Episode Does Carl Die?

The answer is “yes,” Carl Grimes dies in the ninth episode of the eighth season, named “Honor,” and debuted for the first time in February of 2018.

Carl and Siddiq are fighting off walkers in the woods, as we saw in the episode recap. Carl, however, is attacked by a group of walkers and bitten in the stomach (all of this is revealed in flashback), and he responds by making plans for the future he knows is coming.

Present day finds him telling Rick about the bite and handing him some letters he sent to the gang for Rick to distribute.

Before he leaves, he gets to say his goodbyes to Judith, and the rest of the movie is filled with meaningful exchanges between the characters. Unfortunately, they all lead to the same central turning point in the series.

Carl explains his hope for the future and why he wants to take his own life by seeking a gun.

Rick and Michonne leave the church where he is, isolating him for the act, and a fatal shot is fired. They then make their way back inside and bury Carl at the cemetery of Alexandria.
