"Part 4" of Obi-Wan Kenobi features plausible science fiction passageways after last week's vacant vistas. The setting adds suspense to an emotionally flat episode. As Star Wars nears its end, Ewan McGregor continues to prove his worth.

Leia has been seized by the Empire and taken to Fortress Inquisitorius. Obi-Wan and Tala enlist the proto-rebels on Jabiim, notably Roken (O'Shea Jackson Jr.). Fans seeking for Legends canon tie-ins won't find any here. Obi-Wan observes a few rooms and a bacta tank.

While recuperating, he relives his duel with Darth Vader, whose parallel healing bath adds even more angst as these separated brothers burn alive.

Fill in someObi-Wan and Tala use their clearance codes to enter the fortress. Reva interrogates Leia, who defies threats and cajoling. Out of patience, Reva tortures Leia and plants a tracker on her droid. Obi-Wan fights his way in while Tala fakes a confession to distract Reva. text

Obi-Wan draws stormtroopers to distract the Inquisitor. Obi-Wan uses the Force to rescue the heroes from a flooded tunnel. The crew from Jabiim swoops in at the last minute to save our heroes, losing a pilot in the process.

"Part 4" never matches the opening bacta scene's blend of history, character, emotion, and world-building. The Book of Boba Fett used the bacta tank better. Obi-Wan Kenobi's Imperial base infiltration sequence is better than The Mandalorian's.

And it's confident. Deborah Chow, Chung-hoon Chung, and the team nail the episode's lighting (to use a professional term). Obi-lightsaber Wan's glows and shimmers in every scene.

They exploit the usage of a lightsaber in the dark to great effect in this episode, depicting Obi-Wan as the monster in the shadows, killing stormtroopers one by one. This episode's water is green and white. The base is close to seeming real. Sea monster clinging to underwater entrance door.
