‘The Umbrella Academy’ Renewed For Fourth & Final Season By Netflix

New episodes of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's beautifully macabre anthology series American Horror Stories will premiere this summer on FX and Hulu.

The Umbrella Academy has quickly become one of Netflix's most popular series since its 2019 premiere, when it surpassed the service's all-time record for concurrent viewers.

The three seasons of the show, which is based on a graphic novel series by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, have captured the attention of millions of viewers around the world with their examination of complex family dynamics and traumatic experiences.

The saga of the messed-up Hargreeves family is finally coming to a close.

This week, Netflix made the social media announcement that they have renewed The Umbrella Academy for a final season.

Steve Blackman, the show's creator and executive producer, told Deadline that he is looking forward to giving viewers "the fitting finale to the Hargreeves siblings' adventure," which began in 2017 when production began.

Just over a month has passed since the release of Umbrella Academy Season 3, in which the Hargreeves were erased from existence and sent to an other universe.

Instead of meeting the Justice League, the brothers ran across another team of superheroes called The Sparrow Academy.

After meeting Sir Reginald in 1963, the Hargreeves found out that he had adopted Ben and six other children, altering the course of history.
