"Carolina," Taylor Swift's long-awaited new single, is almost here.

Swifties know she wrote the song for Where the Crawdads Sing, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones from Normal People.

Taylor Swift wrote "Carolina" for the 2022 film Where the Crawdads Sing.

Republic Records released it with a lyric video on June 24, 2022. The song's title relates to the Carolinas.

"Carolina" is a downtempo Appalachian folk tune produced by Swift and Aaron Dessner.

The 1950s acoustic instruments complement the film's setting.

Critics lauded "Carolina's" "haunting" ambiance and Swift's voice upon release.
