"Somebody I Used to Know" seems very different from Franco's last movie, "The Rental," which was a horror movie in which his partner Brie also starred.

Even though that movie starts out with a subplot about cheating

It quickly turns into a scary thriller set in a place like Airbnb where the people living there seem to be being watched.

This time, though, nobody is watching Ally and Sean, except maybe Sean's fiancee Cassidy (Clemons), who tells Ally she can't "kick out one of Sean's oldest friends."

"Somebody I Used to Know" reads more like an indie romantic comedy about finding yourself than a high-stakes drama about jealousy and lies.

In later scenes, Cassidy and Ally go streaking on a golf course and have their own close moment.

Given that Ally is willing to have an affair with Sean when he's set to marry a nice girl, there's plenty of drama.

Next month, Dave Franco's sophomore directorial effort, starring Alison Brie, will debut on Prime Video.

In the first trailer, Danny Pudi appears with a moustache, suggesting a "Community" reunion
