For Archie and Lilibet, Prince Harry and Megan Markle Adopt a Rescue Dog

A hearty congrats to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!

The cute couple just adopted a dog for their three-year-old son Archie and one-year-old daughter Lili.

According to ABC News, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle adopted a beagle named Mamma Mia from the Beagle Freedom Project in Los Angeles when she was 7 years old.

At Harry and Meghan's house in Montecito, Mamma Mia will be relaxing with her new family.

According to Shannon Keith, director of the Beagle Freedom Project, when the royal couple visited the organization's offices in early August, they quickly determined that Mamma Mia would be the perfect best friend for their children.

“The duchess is holding Mia and was like, ‘We’re adopting her,'” Keith told the Los Angeles Times.

“She was like ‘No, we don’t want a Christmas puppy. … We want ones we can help who are older.'”

Meanwhile, Archie and Lili were recently taken by Harry and Meghan to see their grandfather Prince Charles.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the United Kingdom for the Queen's recent Platinum Jubilee celebration, they were welcomed with open arms by the royal family.
