Despite Gal Gadot's "Can't Wait" to Make Film, "Wonder Woman 3" is "Not Moving Forward."

Multiple outlets report that new DC Studios leadership decided not to make Wonder Woman's third standalone film.

On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter reported that DC execs rejected Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins' script for a third film, a sequel to 2020's Wonder Woman 1984.

THR reports that Jenkins' sequel ideas for Wonder Woman 3 are "Not moving forward" according to multiple sources.

According to outlets, that could mean a reboot with new castings or a new direction with existing cast members.

On Thursday, Gunn, 56, tweeted, "Some of it is true, some of it is half-true, some of it is not true, & some of it we haven't decided yet whether it's true or not."

"Building the next ten years of story takes time & we're still just beginning," he said. "Build upon what has worked in DC so far & to help rectify what has not."

In December 2020, announced a Wonder Woman sequel to "conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy."
