Tomb Raider’s Official Soundtrack to be Released March 5th: Tomb Raider has gotten a lot of good reviews so far, and it looks like the majority of critics will like it. When people buy the game on March 5, they can also buy the official soundtrack, which comes out on the same day.
Crystal Dynamics gave the job of making the game’s music to Jason Graves, who has been making music for video games for over 20 years and has won a BAFTA award for his work. Before Tomb Raider, his most recent games were the Dead Space series, F.E.A.R. 3, and Star Trek: Legacy, among many others.
Crystal Dynamics said that the final product comprised “found sounds, authentic percussion, and a truly unique custom instrument woven together with orchestral themes and textures.” Graves said the OST for Tomb Raider was, “the result of more than two years of work and experimenting with music. It has all the things I love about music: mysterious textures, evocative percussion, and theme developments that make me want to die.”
