The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date: The third season of The Mandalorian is almost here! The hit Star Wars Disney Plus show about Mandalorian Din Djarin and Force-sensitive Grogu and their dangers and adventures is coming back on March 1.

Jon Favreau has been discussing the new season and has even let slip some interesting facts. During a Q&A in Madrid, Spain, he talked about how Marvel gave him the idea to bring Din Djarin and Boba Fett back together.

The official Twitter account for the show says that the third season of The Mandalorian will start on Disney+ on March 1, 2023. When Mando returns to Mandalore after appearing in the second half of The Book of Boba Fett, the show will pick up right where it left off.

Next season, it looks like Din Djarin will have a new quest. The fifth episode of The Book of Boba Fett starts with Mando looking for the other Mandalorians. When he finds them, the Armorer shows him how to use the Darksaber, and Paz Vizsla immediately fights him for it. Friends! What can you say. Mando wins the battle, but in the Season 2 finale, he tells the Armorer that he took off his mask.

(You can’t blame a man for wanting a sweet moment with his alien son.) The Armorer kicks him out of the clan and tells him that the only way he can be forgiven is to go to the mines of Mandalore, which no longer exist. Mando seems determined to do something, since he went to Amy Sedaris’s Peli Motto to look for a new ship. When Season 3 starts, Mando will definitely want to make things right with the last of his people. He will probably do this by going on a mission to his home planet.

Let’s talk about some of the other people in the Mandoverse. Let’s start with a new character. The Hollywood Reporter said in March that Christopher Lloyd, a famous actor, will be in the third season. The THR article says, “Details about his character are being kept in the trunk of a DeLorean, but it’s been called a guest-starring role.” This probably means that Mando will be most interested in Lloyd in one episode of the third season.

But what about our old pals? How about Gideon Moff? Also in Episode Six of The Book of Boba Fett, we find out that he is in custody and is probably going to jail or be killed. Are you sure he won’t get away and go after Mando? In an interview with Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Gideon on the show, Variety got as close to a confirmation as we will get about whether or not Gideon will return.

Bo-Katan wants the Darksaber, but Mando won it from Moff Gideon. This makes for some tension between the two. In The Book of Boba Fett, the Armorer tells us a little bit about Bo-Katan. Most of what he tells us is background information, like how she didn’t win the Darksaber in battle, which is why Mandalore is cursed. We think that the fight for the Darksaber will continue to be a big part of the story, and it sounds like Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan, agrees.

Even the actor and comedian Bill Burr, who always played the sassy Mayfeld, talked about whether or not he will be in future episodes of The Mandalorian. Here’s what the man told ScreenRant about how he wants to go back to the galaxy far, far away as soon as possible.

At this point, anything could happen, which is what makes this series of episodes so fun and important for our friend Mando. When The Mandalorian comes back, it will be a whole new show.
