Learn more about what truly went down in The Mandalorian season 3 episode 3 ending explained.

How did The Mandalorian season 3 episode 3 end?

This week’s recap of The Mandalorian season 3 episode 3 starts in the Living Waters, where Bo-Katan Kryze has just saved Din Djarin from an unknown attacker. On the other hand, the second one says that he feels better after bathing in the water and tasting it. The former Mandalorian regent then asks him if he saw anything under the water. Din says he didn’t see anything. Strangely, Bo-Katan does not mention the creature she saw underwater.

A group of TIE interceptors attack Bo-ship Katan’s as they head back to Kalevala. Din tells her to take him back to his fighter so he can reinforce the Gauntlet against these Imperial fighters. Bo-Katan sends Din back to his starfighter, and then he and Din kill the people who were following them right away. Moments later, Din spots another squadron of TIE bombers attacking Bo-Katan’s castle, causing her to run after them alone. From there, Din convinces her to run away instead of fighting a whole fleet of TIE fighters with only two ships. Then, to get away, they jump to light speed.

Over on Coruscant, Dr. Penn Pershing talks to the New Republic as a free man who got his freedom through an amnesty programme. He also says that Pershing is now ready to help the New Republic by using advanced cloning techniques, even though he has a bad history. After speaking to the crowd and talking with some delegates, Pershing goes back to his quarters and meets other Amnesty Program members, including G68, a former officer under Moff Gideon. He gets a drink while the other people celebrate their new positions in the New Republic. When Pershing gets back to his room, he finds a box of travel biscuits on his doorstep. He thinks that some of his new friends from the Amnesty Program left them there.

The next day, Pershing goes to work for the New Republic for the first time. Then, he and G68 take in the sights and sounds of the city while talking about their time as Imperials. Over time, Pershing admits that he misses being a scientist for the Empire, which G68 doesn’t like. Soon after G68 plays a joke on Pershing, they leave.

A day after their date, a droid asks Pershing about his current living situation and work as part of the Amnesty Program for the New Republic. The scientist then asks if he can keep researching cloning, which is against the law right now. He then goes to meet G68 and tells her that his work on cloning will help the New Republic, but only if he can prove it. G68 agrees to help him get the equipment he needs, but they will have to break the rules of their amnesty to do it. They agree to let this idea sit for a while before making a quick decision.

Back at his own station at work, Pershing tries to convince his coworker that old Imperial equipment can still be used instead of being thrown away. He talks to the therapy droid again and finds out that helping the Republic is more important than anything else they do. He then uses this train of thought as a justification and asks G68 to get him the required equipment to continue his research.

G68 and Pershing leave the Amnesty Housing at night to go to the disposal yards, which they aren’t allowed to go to. But before they can get there, two droids show up looking for their tickets. As the droids start to notice and follow them, the two people run away to other carts. G68 tells Pershing to jump off the train to avoid getting caught. They jump and land in a safe place near the garbage dumps.

G68 and Pershing sneak into a decommissioned Star Destroyer to get the equipment they need, but no one sees them. Then G68 says that her name is Elia Kane and that she used to be an Imperial communications officer. As the pair find what they’re looking for, a strange noise comes out of nowhere. Now that he has everything he needs, Pershing leaves with Elia. Before they can escape, New Republic authorities catch them in the act. Elia then says that she has been helping the police by putting Pershing in a bad light.

Pershing is put in a machine in an interrogation cell that is meant to change the way he thinks so that it is more acceptable to the Republic. Elia is praised for her work on this matter in another part of the room. Elia increases the machine’s settings to dangerous levels as her superior leaves the control room. While this is happening, Din takes Bo-Katan to a secret place where a Mandalorian covert is hiding to escape the Imperial forces.

When Din gets there, Paz Vizsla and a few other people from the Watch stop him. After bathing in the Living Waters and putting some of it in a tube to prove it, the former bounty hunter says he is no longer an apostate. They are brought to the Armorer, and she takes the water. Everyone there discovers the truth, and Din and Bo-Katan are now saved. The Armorer then welcomes Bo-Katan into their covert as everyone does the same.

What just happened? The Mandalorian, Episode 3 of Season 3: A Recap

After spending the first two episodes on Din’s journey to change, most of The Mandalorian season 3 episode 3 is about Pershing’s life under the Amnesty Program of the New Republic. Here, it is shown that the former Imperial scientist still wants to keep working on cloning, which is against the law. Elia Kane, also known as G68, then frames him for reasons that viewers don’t yet know.

Meanwhile, the episode starts with a captivating battle between Din and Bo-Katan on one side, and a fleet of Imperial TIE fighters on the other. Din takes Bo-Katan, Grogu, and R5-D4 to a Mandalorian covert after the former regent’s home was bombed. From there, the Armorer knows that Din has been saved by bathing in the Living Waters. Surprisingly, they do the same thing for Bo-Katan and let him into their covert.

It’s still not clear how this new development will affect Din and Bo-stories Katan’s as the season goes on. Also, it looks like Pershing will have a big part to play in the next episodes. Keep watching this Star Wars series on Disney Plus over the next few weeks to find out how everything will work out.
