The Little Mermaid 2023 Cast: The Little Mermaid is a live-action musical film that will be released in the United States in 2023 by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a remake of the same-named Walt Disney Animation Studios movie from 1989. The story is loosely based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. Lin-Manuel Miranda and Marc Platt will put the movie together. Miranda will not only be in charge of the story, but she will also work with composer Alan Menken to rework songs from the original and write new songs for the movie. The movie is planned to come out on May 26, 2023.
The Little Mermaid Plot
The Little Mermaid is a well-known story about a young mermaid named Ariel who is beautiful, brave, and wants to go on adventures. Ariel is the youngest and most stubborn of King Triton’s daughters. She wants to know more about the world above the sea and falls in love with Prince Eric when she goes to the surface.
Mermaids can’t talk to humans, but Ariel has to do what she wants to do. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula that lets her live on land for a while but puts her life and her father’s crown in danger.
