The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 7 Recap

The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 7 Recap

At the start of the episode, there is a lot of blood in the snow and inside the house where Ellie took Joel. Joel, who is having a hard time, grabs Ellie and tells her to go north to find Tommy. Ellie doesn’t want to leave him, but she does. Next, we see Ellie jogging around a gym with headphones on until a girl takes them off. Then, Captain Kwong tells her what will happen if she keeps going in the direction she is going.

Riley sneaks into her room in the middle of the night, and Ellie almost stabs her. Riley had been missing for a few weeks, and Ellie missed her because they were best friends and Riley would protect her from bullies at the site. After she gets over her first shock, Riley tells her that she has joined the Fireflies. Then, she tells her that she wants to take her out and have the best night of their lives together before she freaks out. Even after saying no, Riley makes her get dressed.

Who Is Riley?

Riley does appear in The Last of Us. Riley was raised in Boston as a child without a parent. In the quarantine zone, Riley and Ellie met each other. They got along right away and became best friends. Riley would always protect Ellie from the camp bullies when she was in the quarantine zone, because Ellie was the new kid in town.

Riley takes Ellie to the mall by sneaking her out of the house. Riley turned on the lights because she wanted to show Ellie all the great things the mall has to offer. Ellie thought the mall was closed. As they walk through the mall, Riley shows Ellie everything, from the escalator to the carousel, because she wants to make a good impression. Ellie asked Riley why she had left, and Riley told her that when you turn 17, you get your detail, and Riley got sewage.

What present does Riley get Ellie?

Riley says she has to give Ellie a gift before they leave, after they’ve done all the fun things the mall has to offer. Riley says that she got the second book in the “No Pun Intended” series.

When Ellie starts to look around after Riley gives her her gift, she sees equipment everywhere. When we talk to her about it, we find out that this is Riley’s post, but she says she won’t let them hurt her. Riley couldn’t stop the Fireflies from attacking anyone, so Ellie knows that she shouldn’t do that. Riley tells her that she tried to get them to join the Fireflies, but they said no. Then she tells them that she is going to leave soon. Ellie finally looks her in the eyes, says goodbye, and storms out of the room.

Ellie didn’t think that was a good way to end things, so she went back to see Riley. After they had a moment to get to know each other, Ellie and Riley wore Halloween masks and danced in the store together. But Ellie starts to feel sad and asks her not to leave. After just looking at each other for a few seconds, Ellie kisses her.

How does Riley die?

After this small moment between Ellie and Riley, an Infected comes into the picture. The pair fights the Infected, but Ellie gets hurt and Riley saves the day, and vice versa. Ellie finally kills the Infected by stabbing it in the head. Ellie gets up, happy, but when she looks up, she sees that Riley is sick. It makes them think about life and keep track of the days until they die. Riley ends up dying because she got sick.

How Does The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 7 End?

After the fight in the mall, we go back to the present, where she is still at the door thinking about leaving Joel. A flashback of her relationship with Riley makes her realise that she couldn’t leave him behind. So, Ellie runs back inside to get things that will help him. After a lot of searching, she finally finds a needle and thread, and the episode ends when she starts stitching him up.

The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 7 Review

Episode 7 has some exciting parts, but it also felt like it could have been told in a shorter amount of time. Still, Storm Reid and Bella Ramsey are important.
