The Eminence in Shadow Episode 11: Cid Kagenou, as seen in the prior episode of The Eminence in Shadow, arrived at the holy city of Lindwurn. Shadow Garden tends to take the initiative without generating issues for its master. Still, Alpha needs Shadow’s assistance to figure out who killed Archbishop Drake and why.

In episode 11 of The Eminence in Shadow, titled “The Goddess’ Trials,” Shadow Garden continues its investigation in Lindwurn to identify the killer of Archbishop Drake. Shadow makes an unannounced visit to the Church of the Holy Knights, where he accidentally reawakens one of the ancient warriors dreaded for raining disaster and havoc upon the globe in times past.

Cid fabricated an invitation to the Goddess Trials from a friend. In the first scene of episode 11 of “The Eminence in Shadow,” Alexia is shocked to see Cid swimming in the same spring pool as her. Instead of sitting in silence, the former questioned why he was in Lindwurn. Alexia broke the unspoken rule by disclosing the reason for her visit.

She sought to audit Nelson’s tenure as acting Archbishop, but he declined to cooperate with her inquiry and suggested that she leave such concerns to the Church. Acting Archbishop’s unusual demeanour led Alexia to suspect him of being involved in the murder of Archbishop Drake.

The 11 episode of The Eminence in Shadow demonstrates that the protagonist, Cid Kagenou, is more powerful than someone who nearly destroyed the planet. Although Cid enjoyed duelling with Aurora, he was greatly dissatisfied that he could not employ his full potential. After accomplishing his aim to do something dark and sinister on the sacred grounds, he opened the temple.

Despite his best intentions, Cid unwittingly helps Shadow Garden achieve its goal. Alexia suspects Nelson of being dishonest by rejecting the assistance offered by the Kingdom of Midgar. Alpha is aware of his whereabouts at all times since Beta, hiding behind her Natsume Kafka mask, reports back on his every move. Season 1 of The Eminence in Shadow will end with this episode.
