The American Idol 2023 Contestant Kamron Lawson Begin Singing: This week, the fourth round of auditions for season 21 of American Idol took place in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Nashville, Tennessee. You can see the episode on Sunday, March 19, at 8 p.m. ET on the ABC network.
As usual, talented singers from the United States will try out for American Idol by trying to impress judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.
Kamron Lawson, from Virginia, is one of the people who is going to try out. He started singing when he was 13 years old. Kamron comes from a musical family, and when he saw his parents “sitting there on the computer making some music,” he was inspired to do it for a living.

Kamron is from Beckley, West Virginia, and he grew up in the same area as the famous singer Bill Withers. Bill encouraged the young singer to become a musician, and Lawson’s first performance on stage included some of Bill’s songs. It is unknown, though, if Kamron will sing any of Withers’ songs at his audition.
Kamron’s father told him to sing because he, too, wanted to be a singer and poet.
This also made him want to try out for West Virginia’s Got Talent in 2012, where he won first place. Kamron says his style of singing is soul and R&B, but he can also do country songs. Lawson was once kicked out of school for singing, and he almost lost his job at Walmart because of it.
In an interview, he also told the Charleston Gazette-Mail that he wishes there were more scouts in West Virginia so they could see how talented the state is. Kamron still sings while working at Walmart. In high school, he did musical theatre.
