Terry Hall Cause Of Death

Terry Hall Cause Of Death: Singer Terry Hall, 63, of The Specials, a politically active ska band, has passed away.

The singer rose to stardom in the ’70s and ’80s with songs like ‘Ghost Town,’ ‘Gangsters,’ and ‘Too Much Too Young,’ exemplifying his gloomy persona and cutting wit.

After leaving The Specials in 1981, he formed Fun Boy Three with former Specials members Neville Staple and Lynval Golding and had another string of singles.

Terry Hall Cause Of Death

According to the reports, Terry Hall’s cause of death is “a brief illness”. The announcement of death was made through social media.

After having a hard childhood in Coventry, which included being taken away by a teacher who sexually abused him for four days when he was 12, Hall turned to music as a way to feel better.

In 1977, keyboardist Jerry Dammers asked him to join the 2-Tone ska band The Specials. Other founding members of the band included singer Neville Staple, guitarists Lynval Golding and Roddy Radiation, bassist Horace Panter, drummer John Bradbury, and horn players Dick Cuthell and Rico Rodriguez.
