Stevie Wonder's picture without glasses goes viral on Twitter

A picture of Stevie Wonder from a long time ago when he didn’t wear glasses has gone viral on Twitter, and fans can’t believe it.

The photo shocked everyone online because the singer is blind and always wears dark black sunglasses when he’s out in public.

Many people have never seen Stevie Wonder without his trademark sunglasses, but there are a lot of pictures of him without them.

On Tuesday, the image was posted to Twitter by the renowned gossip website Daily Loud (March 14).

The 72-year-old man in the photo is wearing all black and has scraped back his long hair in preparation for speaking into a microphone.

This picture was taken in 1989, at the star’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

After removing his glasses, Stevie famously advised everyone to close their eyes and live life through music.

Stevie Wonder was not born blind

The famous musician wasn’t blind when she was born, but she became blind soon after.

In Michigan, he was born six weeks early in May 1950. He was put in an incubator that had too much oxygen.

This led to a condition called retinopathy of prematurity, in which blood vessels grow in the retina that aren’t supposed to be there.

Some premature babies can get better, but in the worst cases, the retina completely pulls away from the back of the eye, causing the baby to go blind.

But being unable to see has never stopped him, and the star is one of the world’s best harmonica and keyboard players.
