Silent Hill 2 Remake Release Date: After an absence of more than a decade, Silent Hill is returning with not one but several new games, among them a remake of Silent Hill 2.
Despite the lack of a mainline game in the series since 2010, Silent Hill remains one of the best horror franchises in video games.
It has been a long since we last visited Silent Hill’s eerie, misty hamlet, as the last official Silent Hill game, Silent Hill: Downpour, came out in 2012.
Konami slowed down significantly throughout the Xbox One and PS4 era, canceling games like Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hills, which was shaping up to be a horror game classic.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Release Date
No release date has been given for the remake of Silent Hill 2, and so far, only a brief statement has been made.
We expect to learn more about the game in 2023, when we might be given a release window.
If we had to guess, we’d say it’ll be here in late 2023 or early 2024.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Trailer
A trailer for Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 was shown for the first time during the Silent Hill Transmission.
Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka are both back for this over-the-shoulder remake of their classic game.
Bloober’s goal is to create a groundbreaking game as groundbreaking as the originals were, but this time in Unreal Engine 5.
The recreation featured an entirely new sound design and musical approach and was directed by Mateusz Lenart, the creative director of The Medium.
That’s all we have about the release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake. We still have a long way to go and much more to see.
