Shazam! Fury of the Gods Cast: On March 17, 2023, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is set to come out in theatres. Warner Bros. plans to only show its movies in theatres from now on, so it won’t be on HBO Max on the same day as “The Suicide Squad.” Those who want to watch at home will have to wait at least 45 days after the movie comes out in theatres, but it could be even longer.
This year’s “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is the latest film to be based on a character from DC Comics. To be more precise, it is the follow-up to the 2019 film “Shazam!” The film will pick up with young Billy Batson as he juggles being a teenager and a formidable superhero. Notably, along with “The Flash” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” it is one of the last films to be released as part of the “old” DC Universe before the films produced by DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are released as part of the new, gently rebooted DC Universe. Is that it for Shazam then? Will have to see how things play out.
