Rescue Operation Completed In Jharkhand’s Deoghar – Ends After 45 Hours

Rescue Operation Completed In Jharkhand’s Deoghar – Ends After 45 Hours: The rescue operation could not be started on Sunday due to darkness on the hill of Trikut in Deoghar, Jharkhand. After about 46 hours, the rescue operation has been completed today.

During the rescue, a woman fell down after the helicopter rope got stuck in the cabin. Earlier yesterday, a man reached near the helicopter during the rescue and then fell down, resulting in his death.

In Jharkhand, rescue operations are underway by a joint team of Air Force, Army, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), NDRF, and district administration to rescue people stranded on the ropeway at Deoghar. During the rescue, a woman fell down after the helicopter rope got stuck in the cabin. Earlier yesterday, a man reached near the helicopter during the rescue and then fell down, leading to his death.

But the big question is, how did such a big thing happen? Through the trolleys on which the incident took place, every day hundreds of devotees reach the temples built on the mountain in Deoghar, the religious city of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand High Court will hear the matter on April 26. Earlier, the state has been asked to file a detailed inquiry report through an affidavit.

The operation could not begin on Sunday as it started dark. Due to being a high altitude and inaccessible hill, a lot of problems were faced. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a woman fell to the ground due to a rope break. He was taken for treatment. But, he died. Because of this, the operation was stopped for some time. Earlier, the rescue operation faced problems due to the proximity of two trolleys. Air Force’s Mi-17 helicopter has been pressed into service in the rescue operation.

After the accident, NDRF and police teams reached the spot, but it was very difficult to carry out the rescue operation at an altitude of 2500 feet. The army was then called in, but as per the need, the help of the air force was taken later. The Air Force had deployed two helicopters in this operation.

Due to the high altitude, it was very difficult to reach the relief material for the people trapped above. Due to this, food and water were delivered to them with the help of drones. However, there was also a problem at night. Due to this, many people had to stay above the hunger and thirst in the nighttime.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced a high-level inquiry into the accident and said the administration was keeping a close watch on the rescue operation. The passengers who were evacuated safely were ‘airlifted’ with the help of two Air Force helicopters. Drones were used to supply food and water to people trapped in cable cars hanging in the air. Soren said, “The state government is keeping a close watch on the situation.”
