In Hollywood, the six degrees of separation rings especially true when it comes to celebs and their inner circles, but Selena Gomez might just take the cake when it comes to her unlikely pack of famous pals.

Selena Gomez’ UNLIKELY Friendship With Paul Rudd Explained!

If it wasn’t already apparent that Selena Gomez is basically the Miss Congeniality of Hollywood, you’re about to find that out pretty quickly, as she’s been linked to some very unlikely famous friends.

While it’s no question she’s got her core group of known friends like Taylor Swift, Julia Michaels, and David Henrie from her Wizard days, Sel’s friend circle is also home to many others…

Case in point, Selena and Jennifer Aniston and go way back, mostly due to the fact that they have the same management teams. Sel has previously dished about their pizza nights, shared photos celebrating birthdays and has even credited Jen with being a role model when it comes to her acting career.

Selena gushed about Jen to Just Jared, saying QUOTE, “I always say that I worship Rachel McAdams as a movie actress but for comedy—the whole reason I started my show and mannerisms, they were after Jennifer Aniston.”

Now if she could just get some more inside scoop on Jen’s iconic TV character Rachel Green from Friends, that would be FANTASTIC.

“Gal Pal, Rachel Green” Speaking of Friends, one of the show’s recurring guest stars, Paul Rudd, also has a long history of friendship with Selena.

After starring in the 2016 indie film The Fundamentals of Caring together, it would appear as though their paths would’ve never crossed again in a million years, but the two are completely in awe of each other’s
talent.

Paul admitted he knew who Selena was before filming the movie, but also admitted he didn’t realize how famous she was until their time on set.

He once opened up about her, saying QUOTE, “It wasn’t until we were filming and I saw thousands of people turning out to try and see her that I realized what a phenomenon she is.

To see her deal with that kind of fame, I came away even more impressed with her. She’s extraordinary.”

Their friendship might even give Selena and Taylor’s a run for their money, considering he definitely owns a t-shirt with Selena’s baby photo printed on the front, and before you ask, it is 100% Selena-approved!

Since then, the two have been spotted together on multiple occasions, including bowling nights and charity events… talk about a life-long friendship! Paul also seems to be the connecting bridge
between Selena and Olivia Wilde.

The two appeared to have met through charity events, like the one Selena and Paul also attended.

Selena has also publicly supported Olivia on her many film endeavors, having congratulated her on the indie film, Booksmart, back in 2019.

The same year, Selena also shared a photo of herself wearing one of Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS bodysuits, and even complimented the piece, writing on her Instagram story QUOTE, “Legit so freaking comfortable @SKIMS.” And given the nature of Kim and Taylor’s history, the backlash instantly began rolling in and just hours later Sel scrapped the photo from her page.

She then replaced it with a photo of her and Taylor, writing, “My ride or die.

I would die for this one,” and proceeded to thank Taylor for constantly sticking by her side. We’re not going to get into all the chatter that happened around that SKIMS post, as Selena was just promoting an article of clothing that simply made her feel comfortable, and it’s clear nothing will ever get in between
her friendship with Tay.
