A Brief Recap of Episode 1

Episode 1 of Oshi no Ko introduced a gripping story of a teenage mother who lost her life trying to make it in the entertainment world while secretly raising her twins. Ai Hoshino was a 16-year-old idol who became pregnant by someone from the entertainment industry. To give birth, she went to a countryside hospital and met a doctor named Gorou, who was a huge fan of hers.

On the night of Ai’s childbirth, the doctor was killed by a stalker, but miraculously reincarnated as one of the babies Ai gave birth to that night. These babies were named Aquamarine and Ruby. The doctor wasn’t the only one to reincarnate; his twin sister was the reincarnation of Sarina.

They strived to protect Ai’s happiness in every way possible. Their entry into the entertainment world eventually involved the children, but one day the stalker returned and killed Ai. Episode 1 of Oshi no Ko ended with Aqua realizing that her biological father was behind the murder and vowing to one day kill him with her own hands.
