Only Murders In The Building Shirley Maclaine: The second season of Only Murders in the Building features a slew of star-studded guest stars and supporting cast members.

We were treated to a revival of Steve Martin and Martin Short’s comedic talents and Selena Gomez’s caustic wit in the inaugural season of Only Murders in the Building.

The three made for a really engaging and endearing dynamic, but the supporting cast really stole the show.

There were appearances by Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Nathan Lane, and the legendary musician Sting, rounding out the Arconia’s roster of eccentric sidekicks.

Only Murders in the Building is a show that appeals to people of all ages. Martin and Short’s iconic comedy films, such as Saturday Night Live, SCTV, and the multitude of Martin and Short’s classic humorous films, will be appreciated by Boomers and Gen Xers.

Because of her sophisticated, stylized portrayal of millennials, Gomez’s “odd-thruple” interaction with the millennial generation works.

The casting of Shirley MacLaine, another Hollywood great, was a bold one.

Regarding audience demographics, MacLaine has a leg up on Martin and Short, but it’s impossible to have actors steal the attention in a show like this.

When Leonora MacLaine’s character is presented in the opening few seconds of the play, she takes the stage and the limelight away from the other characters in the room.

Season 1 ended with a bizarre discovery of Mabel (Jayne Houdyshell), the foul-mouthed intimidating former Tenant Board President, soaked in blood.

For obvious reasons, Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short), and Mable are prime suspects in the slaying. However, there is more to Bunny’s killing than meets the eye.

Her daughter’s death hasn’t stopped Leonora from visiting the Arconia. Leonora’s search for the truth about her daughter’s death and the search for a unique artifact that may reveal a bombshell secret about Charles’ family history continues to uncover new clues concerning her daughter.
