Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 9: There are some disturbing findings in Season 2, Episode 9 of “Only Murders In The Building” that help explain the murder of Bunny Folger.

By the episode’s end, Mabel Mora and her coworkers have a pretty good idea of who the criminal mastermind behind Bunny’s murder might be. However, the episode ends on a cliffhanger without explaining the motive behind that murder, so we’d be very interested in exploring the possibilities based on the clues presented in the episode.

Charles-Haden Savage, who had been searching for answers regarding his father’s secret existence, finds them in this episode.

Detective Kreps confirms Mabel’s hunch that he is the Glitter Guy in the opening voiceover of Episode 9, “Sparring Partners.”

Kreps admits that making ends meet on the police department’s income is tough.

Therefore, he takes on other roles, such as security and consulting. This means he is accustomed to rewriting the facts of murder cases and destroying physical evidence.

Mabel, meantime, says that the trio is being set up for Bunny’s murder and that Detective Kreps is probably working for a mastermind.

When Oliver finally shows up, he shares the news that Will’s DNA test results confirm that he is the boy’s father.

However, when Oliver offers to give Charles Mrs. Gambolini, he is rejected by his pet-loving brother. However, the fight between the two reveals that the genuine Rose Cooper painting has been hiding in Mrs. Gambolini’s cage all along.

After discovering the painting, Charles sets out to locate Leonora Folger, Bunny’s mother and the previous owner of the piece.

Alice goes to Mabel’s house and brings her a puzzle as a goodwill gesture. Alice begs for another chance, but Mabel doesn’t give it to her since she doesn’t trust her.

Oliver confides in Teddy, telling him that Will’s biological father is Teddy but asking him to keep the fact a secret for Will’s sake. To keep the secret, Teddy readily agrees. When Oliver bumps into Teddy, a brawl ensues.

Charles discovers that Leonora Folger has been institutionalized and recognizes Rose Cooper as the woman he met at Bunny’s memorial.

Charles and Rose finally meet, and he learns that there’s another artwork lurking behind the first. Charles and his father stand in front of the Arconia in the second piece of artwork.

Charles returns the picture to Rose, who reveals that she has been forced to go into hiding for reasons we do not yet know. Mabel eventually gets closer to figuring out who the mastermind is.
