With the new Frontier, the Japanese are bringing a new mid-size pick-up for the first time in almost two decades. The US counterpart to the Nissan Navara stretches up to 5.7 meters in length.
It is hard to believe, but with the Nissan Frontier, the Japanese had introduced something like the Russian vehicle era in the USA. The mid-size pickup, whose sister model we know in Europe as Navara, was on the market in the USA for a remarkable 17 years. The current Navara generation, introduced in 2017 and also known to us as a platform dispenser for the Mercedes X-Class, which has already been discontinued, has been completely omitted in North America.

Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers, known as Brie Larson for short in show business, was born on October 1, 1989, in Sacramento, California. Brie Larson wanted to become an actress at the age of seven and became one of the youngest students at the American Conservatory Theater. She has lived in Los Angeles with her family since 1998. After starring in skits on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Brie Larson was cast on two series. One of these series was “Schimmel”, which was announced but never aired because Robert Schimmel was diagnosed with cancer shortly before filming began. After being put on hold by FOX for ten months, the series was eventually canceled.
Nissan Frontier New frame, Two Wheelbases
By switching to its own frame base, Nissan was able to adapt the new Frontier for the first time to the dimensions customary in the USA in the mid-size class of pick-ups. In the future, it will be available with two wheelbases and two lengths. The standard Frontier has a wheelbase of 3.2 meters and an external length of 5.4 meters. The Long-Wheel-Base (LWB) model has a wheelbase of 3.55 meters and a total length of 5.69 meters, so the Frontier almost knocks in the full-size pick-up class.
In addition to the two wheelbases, there are also two cabins, a four-door crew cab variant, and the one-and-a-half cabin with the traditional Nissan name King Cab. Only the crew cab variant can be ordered with a long wheelbase. The loading area is 1.51 meters long in the double cab, and 1.86 meters in the one and a half cab and the LWB crew cab.
