Magnum PI Season 5 Episodes 1 – 2: If you needed another reason to be excited about season 5 of Magnum PI on NBC, here it is. Today, the network confirmed that when the show comes back on Sunday, February 19 at 9 p.m. Eastern, it will air two episodes back-to-back! Before, we were only going to see one on the first night, and then the missing-persons drama Found would start its first season.
Season 5 of Magnum PI is moving to NBC, and fans are getting excited. After CBS unexpectedly ended the show last May, it is now back on NBC for a “two-part season 5.”
The trailers promise more of the same action, since Magnum and his loyal partner Higgins are still working on unique cases all over Hawaii. But this will happen after the end of Season 4, when Magnum and Higgins finally kissed after years of flirting.
So, in the new season, they have to figure out how to be together while still doing their jobs as detectives. Ric, on the other hand, gets used to being a dad and focuses on raising his child. Gordo is also dealing with the fact that he is no longer a cop, while Magnum and Higgins are having trouble with a new detective named Chris Child (Michael Rady).
Magnum PI is still ready to give fans the same excitement it did on CBS, but on a flashier network and at a different time.

Magnum PI Season 5 Episodes 1 – 2 Preview
The main character of Magnum P.I. is Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who uses the skills he learned in the military to become a private investigator after coming home from Afghanistan.
Magnum is a charming rogue, an American hero, and a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. He lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, a luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to make money for his P.I. business. Juliet Higgins, a beautiful and powerful former MI:6 agent, is the “majordomo” of the property. Her second job, which she does with the help of her two Dobermans, is to keep Magnum in line.
When Magnum needs help on a job, he turns to his trusted friends and fellow POW survivors, Theodore “TC” Calvin, a former Marine helicopter pilot who runs Island Hoppers, a helicopter tour business, and Orville “Rick” Wright, a former Marine door-gunner who now runs Oahu’s coolest nightclub and is the most connected person on the island. Thomas Magnum is back on the case. He has the keys to an old Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck in the fridge.
