In the updated version of the original “Magnum P.I.” show, the main character is Thomas Magnum, a famous former Navy SEAL who uses his training as a soldier to work as a private detective after returning from Afghanistan.

Magnum is a charming criminal, a national hero, and a big fan of the Detroit Tigers. He lives in a guest house on the rich estate Robin’s Nest, where he works as a security consultant to help his private investigation business.
