The treatment is used to remove localized fat without having to undergo surgery, but the star of the catwalks maintains that, in her case, it had just the opposite effect: her fat cells increased, not decreased, leaving her “totally deformed.”
Linda developed paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a “very rare but serious side effect” of the fat freezing process that she claims were not reported on. Now she has wanted to share the ordeal she has lived to meet the headlines that echo her physical change and announce that she has taken legal action against the Zeltiq company.
