Law & Order Season 22 Episode 14 Recap

In tonight’s episode of Law & Order, a group of people were having fun at a club when someone started shooting. The shooter seemed to be going after just one person; sadly, she was killed. Hannah Gray was her name. She was well-known as a model. The person who shot at her first did so in the club.

They were wrong. They shot her table, and Hannah ran for her life after that. She wanted to leave by the back door. She saw someone at the club who worked there. He didn’t hear the gunshots because he was cleaning and listening to music at the same time. Hannah actually told this guy there was a shooter, and he got away because of it.

But when Hannah slowed down to warn someone else, she lost valuable time. The shooter caught up to her and shot her to death. The only person who died at the club was Hannah. Two other people had also been shot, but the killer hadn’t stayed to finish them off.

He did that only for Hannah. Early on, the police figured out that Hannah was always the person who was going to be hurt. After that, they talked to her father about what might have happened. Her dad had heard that someone had been shot at the club, so he went to check on his daughter. That’s when the detectives told him what had happened.

Shaw and Cosgrove both tried to be as kind as they could. But nothing they said could make her dad feel better about losing his daughter. He wanted to help but couldn’t because Hannah had never told her father about her personal life. He had no idea that she was with her boyfriend of six months at the club. Hannah had a boyfriend named King Matisse, who was a rapper. Matisse talked Hannah out of staying with her modelling agent. She got into a fight with the guy because of this, but the modelling agent wasn’t the killer.

The guy had an alibi. He was also thrown out of the club a few hours before the shooting. He didn’t do anything. But the detectives thought that the boyfriend could have been involved. After his girlfriend was killed, Matisse had left the area. When he heard the shots, he ran away. He pretended to be a big, tough guy, and as soon as he saw trouble coming, he broke up with his girlfriend. He was so embarrassed by that that he paid the manager of the nightclub to get rid of all video of the shooting. He didn’t want the fact that he had run away to get out to the public.

Matisse, in a way, got in the way of a murder investigation. He was caught because he destroyed evidence, but the story that he had run away still got out. At the club, the detectives talked to a waitress. Matisse’s claims were directly contradicted by what she said. He said that he and the person who shot him tried to fight over the gun. He ran away and hid in the bathroom while the person who shot his girlfriend went looking for her. The police knew that Matisse was trying to protect his reputation, but they still wanted to find out who killed Hannah.

The shooter was wearing a blue knitted hat, the waitress said. Other people who saw him said he was wearing all black clothes and a mask. The police looked around the area for anyone who looked like the shooter. They found a suspect in the end. Bishop Bell is his name. Before he hurt his knee, he played basketball at Hudson. After that, he lost his scholarship and moved back to his old neighbourhood. On the night of the murder, he went to a nearby store. The store’s security cameras caught him wearing the clothes that everyone saw him wearing. Including the hat that was knitted.

The police brought Bell in to question him. They pretended to feel sorry for him because he was so close to making it to the big leagues before he got hurt and lost his chance. Bell was meant to be important. People hardly remember him anymore. Hannah was one of those people who didn’t want anything to do with him after he lost a chance at money and fame. She went to school with Bell. They seemed to be going out before Hannah broke up with them. Hannah didn’t want a has-been. Still, that wasn’t a good enough reason for her to die. She wanted to move on with her life, but Bell wouldn’t let her.

In the four days after her death, Bell called over fifty times. He even wrote her a mean letter in which he called her trash for leaving him and threatened to kill her. All of these showed that Bell had a reason to kill her. It just couldn’t figure out where he was. It was six blocks to the store. No one at the club could see his face well. He got rid of the clothes he was wearing when he was shot. Bell had thought the murder through well. He was going to get away with it until the police found a great witness against him. Officer Nick Riley was found. Riley said he got there six minutes after the shot was fired. Three minutes after the shooting, there was a picture of him right there.

Riley had seen Bell. He got there much faster than he said, and he waited in his patrol car for help to arrive because he was afraid of getting hurt. That night, he, too, had been a coward. Something else that he tried to hide. Still, Riley has to say that publicly because he was the only one who could give Riley a gun that night. He had a great look at him as he left the club. He knew who he was by how he was dressed. The same one he wore in the video from the bodega. So, the only person who could beat Bell was Riley.

Riley had not shown up on his own. The detectives had to track him down and even then he tried to get out of being a witness. He was worried that he would be blamed if the case didn’t go well or if Bell got off. Even so, the District Attorney’s office made him come in and talk.

It wasn’t a pretty scene. Bell was found guilty of murder by the jury, but not when the defence lawyer went after him. Price was taking the win until someone punched him. He got hit because Riley killed herself. And his friend thought it was Price’s fault that Riley had to give a statement.
