Is The Johnny Depp Trial Over: A psychologist hired by the defense of Johnny Depp confirmed in the trial that Amber Heard suffers from personality disorders.
A psychologist hired by Johnny Depp’s lawyers declared on Tuesday that Amber Heard suffers from personality disorders, during the trial that takes place near Washington as a result of the defamation lawsuit filed by the actor against his ex-wife.
Shannon Curry, a clinical and forensic psychologist, claimed to have personally examined Heard’s mental health for 12 hours over two days in December 2021.
Curry estimated that the 36-year-old actress, who starred in the movie “Aquaman,” has a borderline personality disorder and histrionic disorder.
Amber Heard’s lawyers attempted to discredit Curry’s testimony during cross-examination, pointing out that Depp’s lawyers had hired her to testify on his behalf.
Johnny Depp Vs Amber Heard: The Divorce
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp began their relationship in 2012 after meeting in Diary of a Seducer. They got married in 2015 and it was Heard who filed for divorce in May 2016, just 15 months later. In the divorce petition, she accused the actor of having beaten her and a restraining order was granted to her.
In the lawsuit, Heard stated the following:
Depp denied it. Shortly after, Heard withdrew the restraining order and sealed a millionaire agreement with Depp to begin an amicable process. That’s when the joint statement came :
In January 2017 the divorce came.
Johnny Depp Vs Amber Heard: The True Trial
Beyond the confrontation with The Sun and the restraining order that Heard withdrew shortly after her divorce lawsuit, it has not been until now that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have begun to face each other in court. In the United States, specifically in the Virginia court. The actor’s claim and the actress’s counterclaim confront them in a defamation trial that will deal with domestic abuse and mistreatment as a matter adjacent to defamation with effects on the public image and income of both.
We clarify, in case we still have to do it, that it is not a domestic violence trial or in which penalties are requested for it, nor restraining orders, but a trial to settle who has defamed whom and calculate the economic amount that one owes the other for it. In that sense, and perhaps to reduce the tension, Amber Heard announced her Instagram disconnection with a conciliatory message before the trial in which she recalled that everything starts, plain and simple, from a sentence in her Washington Post article.
On April 11, 2022, the trial began in Fairfax County, Virginia. It is expected to last approximately 6 weeks and, although much of the content of both teams is still unknown, it is expected that they will attend to declare faces known by both parties.
