On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Disney+ will release Season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Season 3 will mark Olivia Rodrigo’s final season on the show; it was announced ahead of time.
Nini will be phased out of the program in season 3 because of Olivia Rodrigo’s blossoming music career in the real world, which means she won’t be returning for season 4.
“I think she’s ready to see the world outside the walls of East High,” HSMTMTS showrunner Tim Federle told ET Online.
With her character being written out of the picture, for the time being, the show’s writers are focusing on giving other characters a chance to take center stage and shine as well.
“It makes me happy to see Olivia’s career take off like it has. To recollect about the beginning with her was a real treat.”
