Born in Oak Park (Illinois), on January 17, 1922, Betty Marion White is the daughter of Tess, a homemaker, and Horace, an electrical engineer. After graduating from high school, she found work as a model. He spent a long time in this occupation until in the mid-1940s he discovered that he had a great talent for radio. She started out as a guest on various shows until she ended up hosting her own show, titled “The Betty White Show.”

Divorced from Frederick Barker, she joined actor Lane Allan ( Mac Arthur, the rebel general ) and later Allen Ludden, host of the “Password” contest, where she had been a regular contestant, as a guest celebrity. White is also the author of several books, about her film career and her passion for animals.
