During his first three seasons with the organisation, Rodgers was the backup quarterback behind Brett Favre, but he showed potential and talent in his limited playing time.

With Favre considering retirement and Rodgers’ star on the rise, the Packers decided to make a change at quarterback for the upcoming 2008 NFL season.

Brett Favre was traded to the New York Jets, and Aaron Rodgers was designated the starting quarterback. The Packers took a risk by making this move, but they believed it was necessary.

Rodgers would be taking on considerable responsibility. During his Hall of Fame career with the Packers, Favre earned three NFL MVP honours and one Super Bowl.

His first year as a starter was less than stellar (6-10 record, 28 touchdowns, 13 interceptions), but he rapidly rebounded the following year.

Since then, Rodgers has only had one losing season and once more than ten interceptions in a season earlier. He now has more NFL MVP awards (4) than Favre (2) ever had.

Rodgers has a career record of 139-66-1 and has thrown 449 touchdown passes while only 93 interceptions.

With all that he has accomplished as a quarterback, Aaron Rodgers deserves to be considered among the finest in NFL history. Although he has been successful during the regular season, his postseason record is less impressive.

Aaron Rodgers has played for the Green Bay Packers all 17 seasons in the National Football League. During the offseason of the 2022 NFL season, he announced that he would return to Green Bay for at least one more season. This would be his 18th consecutive season spent playing for the Packers.
