Heartstopper Season 2 Release Date: Netflix has just made the renewal of ‘Heartstopper’ official for two more seasons, thus clarifying all the doubts about its continuity. And it is that the first had not been a great audience success, which had triggered rumors about a possible cancellation.
For my part, I think it’s one of the best series so far this year, so I’m very happy about its continuity.
Heartstopper Season 2 Release Date
It is currently unknown when filming for Heartstopper Season 2 will begin; but, given the unprecedented amount of hype around the program, it is likely that Netflix could decide to order the second chapter of the series sooner on their production slate.
Who knows, it’s not out of the question that we may even receive more Nick and Charlie by the year 2023!
As in the first installment, Alice Osman, author of the graphic novels on which the “Heartstopper” series is based, will act as creator and screenwriter for the next two seasons.
While renewals of new shows on the streaming service are often conspicuous by their absence, the modestly budgeted production has managed to avoid cancellation due to its huge success with both critics and audiences.
Although “Heartstopper” never rose above fifth place in Netflix’s weekly global English-language series rankings, the series’ popularity lies in its portrayal of LGBT youth, which has been greatly praised and commented on social networks.
In addition, the production shot in the United Kingdom is one of the few fiction on the platform rated with a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The cast of interpreters is made up of unknown faces in the world of acting, except for the occasional appearances of Olivia Colman and the voiceover of Stephe Fry.
